Our History
Where It All Began
Founded in 1993, YANAC - the Young American National
Awareness Campaign, a public benefit org. was born out of a deep love for the underrepresented youth and community
of Compton, California. From day one, our mission has been simply
Inform, Support, and encourage young people, build community, and change lives.
Over the past 31+ years, we have helped more than 10,000 youth through a
wide range of programs -from food and donation drives too economic
awareness workshops, partnered with faith-based events, holiday toy drives, and
community cleanups.
Our dedicated team of volunteers and board members are the heart of
everything we do. They give their time, energy, and service to ensure that
every person in our community knows they are seen, valued, and
supported.
